 A few pictures

Just a quick note on equipment....The camera used is a Minolta X-7A manual with an MD-1 Motor Drive. Pictures may have been shot with a number of different lenses from 50mm/f1.4, 28-80mm/f5.6, 80-200mm/f5.6, 28-200mm/f5.6, 120-600mm/f8 or a 500mm/f11 mirror lense. In any event, lense will be specified and converters if any. Also special effects if any, are done with Hoya/Hoyarex filter systems. Flashes are programmable high rate firing Vivitar (3 flashes per second to keep up with the MD-1) for low light shots.

One other thing here....a scanner can't do photographs real justice unless the resolution is set very high. In the interest of trying to make these images download faster, I only scanned at 300 dpi. Sorry, but I didn't want a lot of complaining about how slow my page was....even though I'll probably get it anyway....

I have always wanted to get my photographic work out and seen. I am not an artist, but I guess it would be gratifying to find out that some people liked these shots. I haven't included all of the really good ones, but there are a few here. I did want to show diversity in subject matter, different types of flowers, animals, conditions, scenery, etc. and I think I have done that. If there is call for more pictures, I will expand the photography base with higher resolution scans and larger images tagged to thumbnails. That should make things here operate faster....lol.

There are normally about 4 photo's per category below. I hope that is enough to give some idea of what kind of photography I do as a hobby. Course I did do models professionally as well, but I hate taking pictures of humans. I was lucky enough to be asked to display my work in 3 shows in South Africa and did some advertising photography as well. If you like any of the pictures and want to use them commercially, please contact Dynamic Images (Ajax, Ontario, Canada). I hope you enjoy them!

It's always nice to start with something of beauty. This rose was taken in a garden near the banks of the Vaal River east of Johannesburg, at the house of a good friend of mine who has moved back to Malta. Jeff, if you see this, call me, it's been a long time! Fugi Film, 200 ASA, using 50mm/f8.

This rose was from our garden in Germiston, east side of Johannesburg. Shot with 400 ASA, 50mm/f8, midday sun.
